Philadelphia I Love You

Yesterday we went to visit Philadelphia. I miss it so much. We had to shove so much into only one day including cheesesteaks and buying records at AKA Music and visiting Art Star and perusing vintage clothing and admiring used books. Exhausting but obviously worth it.

rainy rainy weekend

As far as I can tell it's going to rain ALL weekend. I guess that means I'll have plenty of time hanging around the apartment to catch up on some work.

I can't be that gloomy about the rain as I'm excited for all the flowers and vegetation about to bloom as a result of it.

more than ready for spring

I am entirely over snow and cold winds and bitter temperatures. Today I wore my new periwinkle-colored tights in hopes of conjuring up warmer temperatures. Spring, I am ready to be in you.

from vhs tape, to granny coaster

A friend sent me this post about reusing VHS tapes. On Sunday I thrifted "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" for a little under a buck and after pulling out a screwdriver I got to crocheting.

I made this little coaster which I'm really digging because sometimes at work I drink cold water that gets kind of sweaty. I the VHS tape will prevent the pretty fabric from getting damp and destroyed over time.
