I messed up one the edges because I was probably paying more attention to the show about finding the perfect breed of dog, than I was on this granny. But it made a nice rounded edge on the lower left-hand corner I'm really digging right now.

The Meaning of Making

Tomorrow night is The Meaning of Making -- a drop-in craft social with Hello Craft's Make Something Awesome area followed by a panel. It's part of CraftweekDC and presented by the awesome folks at  Civilian Art Projects  and Washington Project for the Arts.

I'll be speaking on the panel with other amazing members of DC's handmade community.

I'm not going to lie, I am starting to get a little nervous. This one time in high school I had to give a public speech and after I was finished my teacher said he wasn't sure if he should clap or call the school nurse because I didn't take a breath for about 4 minutes straight. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen again.
